Portugal es el gran desconocido del turismo Europeo. Hace varios años, me recorrí con unos amigos muchas ciudades de Portugal, a cual más bonita, con cantidad de lugares impresionantes y con una gastronomía exquisita y muy asequible. En este post comentaré los monasterios y abadías que no hay que dejar de visitar en Portugal: / Portugal is the great unknown of European tourism. Batalha es una diminuta ciudad del centro de Portugal, a unos 20 kilómetros de Fátima, donde se encuentra un fabuloso Monasterio dominico de estilo gótico, que merece la pena visitar. / Batalha is a tiny town in central Portugal, about 20 kilometers from Fatima, where  there is a fabulous Gothic Dominican Monastery, which it is worth visiting.

Tomar es una bonita ciudad del centro de Portugal atravesada por un río, está a 35 kilómetros de Fátima, allí se encuentra en lo alto de la montaña, el Convento de Cristo. Uno de los lugares que más me ha impresionado. Perteneció a la Orden del Temple, tiene una gran extensión y en el se aglutinan, un Castillo, un Monasterio dominico, con claustros, iglesia. Es de estilo gótico y barroco. Deja impresionado a quien lo visita. / Tomar  is a beautiful city in central Portugal crossed by a river, it is 35 kilometers from Fatima, there is at the top of the mountain the Convent of Christ. Alcobaça, el nombre de esta ciudad es por la unión de dos ríos, se encuentra a unos 20 kilómetros de Batalha y a unos 65 de Fátima. En ella esta la Abadía de Santa María de la Victoria de Alcobaça. / Alcobaça, the name of this city is by the junction of two rivers, is located about 20 km from Batalha and about 65 km from Fatima. It is the Abbey of St. Mary of the Victory of Alcobaça.

Lisboa, capital de Portugal, se encuentra el Monasterio de los Jerónimos de Santa María de Belém, quiza sea el más conocido pero aún así es muy interesante visitar. / Lisbon, capital of Portugal, there is the Jeronimos Monastery of Santa Maria de Belém, perhaps the most known monastery but still very interesting to visit.
