Se celebra en Fráncfort, del 12 al 16 de octubre, la feria editorial más importante del mundo, Frankfurt Book Fair. Acuden editores, agente literarios y personas relacionadas con la industria editorial. Estos encuentros anuales tienen su origen en la historia de la ciudad sobre el siglo XV, cuando Gutemberg inventó la imprenta a pocos kilómetros de allí.
